ABOUT.

BARTH. is a composer and producer from a small town in The Netherlands. Growing up he couldn’t even sleep without listening to music. But he hated practicing it for the general music lessons he followed. Many years later, on a warm summer night under the setting sun, celebrating a friends birthday in the backyard, someone grabbed a guitar and started singing. Completely blown away by this performance a desire was born: Write and perform music that makes you feel things.

During his studies at the conservatory his love for composition and instrumental music started growing. The possibilities to tell stories by using only sound and music were an endless discovery. Deeply fascinated by life, people, nature and solitude.


BARTH. has been steadily growing over the last couple of years. After a very successful first album release (9+ million streams) he played the Popronde, the biggest Dutch touring festival, in 2022. With 24(!) shows, he continued to conquer the hearts of neo-classical music lovers.

In spring 2023, supporting his newly released EP 'moment's, BARTH. played his first headline clubtour, with 2 sold out shows. 

The new EP received great support from Apple Music and Spotify. Making it to the cover of the Benelux "Calm & Focused" playlist.

After this, he focused on writing and recording his new album, which is finished and ready to release.

During this period of writing and recording, Ólafur Arnalds’ OPIA team noticed his work and invited him for their festival.

This year BARTH. played a fully packed room at the sold-out OPIA Festival on June 2, at TivoliVredenburg. Followed by another unique outdoor sold-out show on 20th of June.

He is now preparing for his second and new album release club tour, which will take place in the fall of 2024.
